Welcome to our wonderful festival family,
I am happy to announce this year’s Harvest Homecoming Festival Theme is “Harvest Goes Hollywood.” I think all of our Harvest Homecoming sponsors, volunteers, and festival attendees are “stars” in their own way. A lot of hard work goes into “producing” this festival and I am thrilled to be such a big part of it. Growing up in New Albany, attending New Albany High School, and beginning my own family in this town has helped me notice all the wonderful things our little town on the river has to offer. I would like to thank each and every supporter of the festival for believing in us and celebrating our love of autumn together as a community. From the silver screen to the streets of town our festival will strive for “two thumbs up.”
Harvest Homecoming is a very special part of my life. I remember growing up wondering how this wonderful festival happened every year. I am now lucky enough to participate in sparking wonder in the eyes of our children. Harvest Homecoming brings people back together. Men, women, and children come back from the places life has taken them and get back to the roots of family, festivities, and food! I look forward to seeing the “stars” of our community this year in the booths, riverfront, music stages, and all the other wonderful activities Harvest Homecoming produces.
I would personally like to thank our festival volunteers who come together annually to make this festival a success. These people are more than just co-volunteers with me, they are now my close friends and family. I look forward to taking my children to the events, and seeing old friends, and making new ones.
