On August 25, Heather Brown was crowned the 2007 Festival Queen at New Albany High School. Heather is a 2007 graduate of Floyd Central High School and currently a Freshman at Indiana University Southeast majoring in Elementary Education. The pageant awarded Heather a $1000 Scholarship.

For the talent portion of the pageant, Heather performed a tap dance to "All I Do Is Dream Of You". Her platform is Empowering Today's Youth:  Girl Scouts of America. She will compete in the Miss Indiana Pageant in June 2008.

NEW!!! Harvest Homecoming will be holding a Petite Little Miss Harvest Homecoming Contest (ages 3-5),
Little Miss Harvest Homecoming Contest (ages 6-8), and a Pre-teen Miss Harvest Homecoming Contest (ages 9-11) on October 13th, 2007 at the Harvest Homecoming stage at State & Market Streets

Entry fee is $15 per contestant; winner in each age group recieves tiara and trophy. Runners-up get ribbons. There will be misc. awards handed out as well-  (example: Best Smile). THERE WILL NOT BE A TALENT COMPETITION! Contestants are to wear their best fall attire.- No pageant dresses or heavy make-up!
 
Registration will be at the stage from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the morning of, with the contest beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m.
