2018 Miss Harvest Homecoming Scholarship Pageant Winners

Madelyn Steurer

2018 Miss Harvest Homecoming

Madelyn Steurer is honored and humbled to be fulfilling her lifelong dream of representing this vibrant community as your Miss Harvest Homecoming 2018! Madelyn is a junior attending the University of Notre Dame double-majoring in Marketing and Romance Languages. Along with serving as this year’s Queen, she will spend her time eagerly advocating for her platform of “I Am That Girl”, a 501(c)3 nonprofit which gives young women the tools they need to lead with confidence and compassion. It is her mission to inspire girls to be, love, and express exactly who they are. Through on-campus and regional efforts, she strives to shift girl culture and raise the standards for how young women treat themselves and each other. Madelyn has been blessed with this incredible opportunity and hopes her hometown community will allow her to be a servant leader during the Harvest Homecoming Festival.

Skylar Adwell

2018 Miss HHC’s Outstanding Teen

Skylar is both honored and excited to be your Miss Harvest Homecoming’s Outstanding Teen 2018! Skylar is a 14-year-old attending Floyd Central High School. She resides in Georgetown, Indiana with her mom Dina and sister Abbie. Skylar works with the platform “Rainbows, Helping Children Cope with the Loss of a Parent” after losing her dad at a young age. Her mission is to befriend and help kids who have lost a parent. She works with children with special needs both inside and outside of school, as she dreams to become a speech pathologist when she grows up! She wants to be the titleholder she once looked up to for everyone in the community, as well as promote her platform during her year of service.
