Who Wants To Be A College Student?

Application deadline is September  23, 2019. College tuition can be awarded by answering a series of questions in a game based on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” Any high school senior living in Floyd County (attending NAHS, FCHS, Providence, Christian Academy, home school or another private school) may enter. Pumpkin Chunking Competition

Can you hit the Great Pumpkin target from up to 100 yards away (High School division: 70 yards) using a gravity powered trebuchet (treb-yoo-shet) firing 5 to 16 pound pumpkins?  Come to (LOCATION PENDING) in New Albany on October 8th and we’ll see. You’ll be one of up to 36 total teams (12 middle school + 12 high school + 12 adult teams) competing for award plaques. Each team gets 3 attempts using supplied pumpkins. Harvest Baking Contest

Registration: 10:30am - 11:00am Location: St. Mary's Catholic Church, 415 E 8th St. Adult and children categories include; pie, cake, bread, cookie, and miscellaneous. All entries must include fall fruits or vegetables, such as pumpkin, apple, persimmon, etc. You may enter one recipe per category. For information contact April Holder at (812) 786-4154. Home Decorating Contest

Entry Deadline: Saturday, October 12 @ 12pm Judging: Saturday, October 12 in the afternoon Open to all homes in Floyd County. Must be owned or rented by the person entering the contest. An apartment building will be a single entry. Judged on originality, use of color, Carni-Fall theme and overall appearance.
